LGBT HISTORY: 10 years ago today...

Matthew Shephard was found tied to a fence post outside of Laramie, Wyoming, reminding the world just how bad violence against gay persons can be. 

He would died a few days later. On my birthday, actually. It was my 16th. I remember it being a big deal in my head, but not in anyone else's.
