GENERAL STUFF: Walmart Clinics

Wal-mart, apparently started a pilot program in September of 2005 to open medical clinics in their stores -- much like their current optomotrists who practice at most Wal-marts.

Well, apparently it was a success.

This is the most abbreviated obituary of the American healthcare system ever published.

In 2007, MSNBC posted another article -- here -- talking about their plans.

And this was all very weird and uncomfortable with me. And then I found the NYTimes article -- here -- which pointed out that the clinics opening in these, some of them will be RediClinics, a business enterprise owned by Steve Case, co-owner of AOL.

Your health: brought to you by corporate America. We all new healthcare was becoming corporatized, but, well, I didn't think they'd make it so obvious.

I just have one thing to say:

No, Debra Jackson, now you can wear your hospital gown.
