GAY STUFF: "I don't identify with groups"

"I don't identify with groups."

I think people who say this or identify categorizations are uncomfortable or embarassed with a group within which they fit.

Example:

Gay boy hates to be called gay because he's not "gay" he just like to sleep with men (which he hasn't told anyone except for the men he sleeps with).

I think ignoring the fact that categorizations and classifications exist as a useful approximation but still serve a purpose is idiotic.
