Today, at 10:22am, The Global Language Monitor reports that the 1,000,000th English word was added to the language. Based on their tracking -- which measures breadth and depth of usage, including citations and scholarly works -- a new word is added every 98 minutes. Apparently, the "word" that made it: Web 2.0. Seriously.
