Another tri-state Senator may see his stay in the US Senate cut short, barring his own audacity to run against his parties wishes.
From Huffington Post:
Some Republicans are privately urging Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) to step down at the end of his term amid growing concerns that he can't win reelection in 2010.
According to two GOP sources, leading Republican fundraisers in Kentucky are hesitant to raise money for Bunning and have told him he should not seek a third term.
That's two big conservatives down. I think the Dem in Ohio running against Portman will have a better chance than any Dem in Kentucky, as the Dem bench in KY is considerably smaller.
But, we'll see, and I'm sure I'll keep you updated.
